Woodward’s Zoey Taylor – Cheer Spotlight – Presented by The Stock Exchange Bank

VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates?

Taylor: I love that my team and teammates are truly my second family. We spend so much time together practicing and performing that we develop very special relationships with each other. We tell each other everything, can be ourselves when we are together, and we know how to have fun. But the most important thing we share is determination and goals of making our competition routines the best they can be. Being a member of the Boomer Dance Team the last four years is very special to me because of the high expectations and goals set for this team each year. Not only do we get to cheer on the Boomers, but we also get to compete which has resulted in four state championships and one national championship. Coach Taryn (Johannesmeyer) pushes us to be our best and sets high standards for us both on and off the floor-which makes all of us better in all aspects of our life. BDT forever!

Coach Johannesmeyer said of Taylor, ““Zoey is one of the most competitive athletes I have had the privilege of coaching. Her drive pushes her individually and the team thrives off of her competitive nature.”

VYPE: What is your favorite subject in school and who is your favorite teacher?
Taylor
: Definitely History! I have always been fascinated how our amazing country was built. Mr. Greeff is my favorite teacher because his lessons are interesting, he treats his students with respect, and he always made me laugh!

VYPE: Once your days are done at Woodward High School, what are your plans after you graduate?
Taylor
: I can’t wait to move to Stillwater and attend Oklahoma State University. Go Pokes!
