WOODWARD BOOMERS
Head Coach: JACOB SCHNEBERGER
3-7
Year two under head coach Jacob Schneberger brings higher expectations at Woodward, where the Boomers return a veteran roster and a more established identity. A 3-7 record last fall came with growing pains, but also with important development for a group that now feels ready to contend every week. With nine offensive starters and six defensive starters back, Woodward enters 2026 aiming to turn experience into wins.
Offensively, the Boomers will line up in balanced 11 personnel, giving them one tight end and multiple receiver looks while keeping a strong run presence. Quarterback Kash Carter (6-1, 185) returns to lead the unit, surrounded by skill talent and a seasoned offensive line. Running back Kollin Boren (5-10, 160) gives Woodward a versatile threat on the ground, while wideouts Luke Talley (6-1, 170) and Jake Graf (6-0, 165) provide reliable targets on the perimeter. Up front, left tackle Trey Oyasorode (6-4, 260) and right guard Bowen Morton (5-11, 230) bring size and experience in the trenches, forming the foundation of an offense capable of both pounding the football and attacking through the air.
On defense, Woodward will rely on a 4-4 Cover 3 structure built around physical play in the box and disciplined coverage behind it. Linebacker Tripp Bates (6-0, 200) is a key leader in the middle, flanked by Boren, who also contributes heavily on that side of the ball. The defensive line features Oyasorode, Morton, and Levi Harris (5-11, 235), giving the Boomers a rugged front capable of disrupting run games and collapsing pockets. With six starters returning, the emphasis will be on communication, tackling and limiting big plays as Woodward strives to become a defense that can close out tight games.
