VYPE: What do you love most about being a student-athlete at Woodward HS?
Heckart: I love being able to compete in multiple sports and have the opportunity to represent my school.
VYPE: What grade are you in and what is your favorite subject?
Heckart: I am in ninth grade, and my favorite subject is math.
VYPE: How long have you been playing softball and what position do you play?
Heckart: This is my eighth year playing softball, and currently I play right field for our varsity team. In the past, I have been a utility player and have played many positions in infield and outfield.
VYPE: If you could play any other position on the field, which would it be?
Heckart: I honestly enjoy playing every position but catcher, but my favorite is anywhere in the outfield.
VYPE: Where is your favorite place to play and why?
Heckart: I would say my favorite place to play is left field because I enjoy catching and throwing the ball long distances.
VYPE: What opponent do you look forward to playing this season?
Heckart: I look forward to playing Bethany because last time we played them, we went 10 innings so I think it will be a good game.
VYPE: Who on the team keeps everyone laughing, who is the most serious and who has the best impression of your coach?
Heckart: I would say Reggie keeps everyone laughing all the time. I feel like the most serious changes depending on the day. I would have to say Kamber has the best impression of our coaches.
VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life? Explain.
Heckart: I would say my parents have been a big influence in my life. They have been my biggest supporters since I started playing and are still there to support me at almost all of my games.
VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?
Heckart: I’m honestly not sure what I want to do after I graduate, right now I am focusing on enjoying my high school years.
