Crespo Anchors the Woodward Soccer Defense – Presented by Papa John’s Pizza

Woodward High School’s Carlos Crespo will play an important role for the Bombers soccer team this season. 

Head coach JP Shirkey likes what he sees in his team this season with Crespo playing a key role on defense. 

“Carlos is a returning starter that will move to defensive mid from outside back for us this year. He will anchor our defense this year,” said coach Shirkey. 

As the season gets underway, we caught up with Carlos to learn more about this senior in his final year of prep soccer.

VYPE: Carlos, how long have you been playing soccer? 

Crespo: I’ve played soccer for 13 years. 

VYPE: What do your Woodward teammates mean to you?

Crespo: My teammates are my friends, and they are people I rely on. 

VYPE: What do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at Woodward High School?

Crespo: What I enjoy the most is the freedom to play my sport with no worries.

VYPE: What do you like to do in your free time? 

Crespo: My free time consists of working out at the gym and hanging out with friends.
