Woodward’s Wyatt Pope Stepping Into Leadership Role – Presented by Kaleb Roach Farmers Insurance

Woodward head baseball coach Zach Warner is excited to get his team back on the diamond for another season of Woodward baseball. One player he will look to this season is senior Wyatt Pope. 

We caught up with Pope before the season started to learn more about this senior heading into his final year of prep baseball. 

VYPE: Wyatt, when did you start playing baseball? 

Pope: I have played baseball for just five years. 

VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates at Woodward? 

Pope: As a senior, teammates are not just friends but also people I need to set an example for. 

VYPE: What’s the best thing about being a student-athlete at Woodward High School? 

Pope: Being a student-athlete at Woodward High School brings a sense a companionship and creates ample opportunity to build new relationships.

VYPE: Away from baseball and school, what do you enjoy doing in your free time? 

Pope: My free time consist of working out, going to the lake, and reading.
