Going for Goal with Alex Wells – Presented by Randy’s Pharmacy

VYPE: What are your goals for yourself and your team this season?

Alex: My goal for myself is to continue to grow in my soccer abilities so that I become a better plate and teammate. My goal for my team is to have team unity and to win a State Championship this year.

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

Alex: In the last year, I have gotten to play on a club team called WOFC with different players from other towns. It has been really fun, and it has made me a better soccer player.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade or coach and why?

Alex: My favorite coaches were Brogan and Chan Goodwin. They helped me be a more confident soccer player because they believed in me.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

Alex: My favorite memory was winning a 3V3 tournament when my dad was coaching. We only had one sub and it was really hot, but we ended up winning the championship.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Alex: Carlos Crespo and Jackson Heckart have left impressions on me. They are seniors this year and they always encourage me if I make a mistake and always help me to play more confidently.

VYPE: Who on your team has the best impression of your coach and who says the funniest things during games?

Alex: Lucas Shirkey makes the funniest impressions of our coach. He also says the funniest things during games.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Alex: I would pick Destin, FL. I really like the beach and I like Destin. I would take my cousin, Caleb, and Cotter with me.

VYPE: If you had $500 and had to spend it in the next 24 hours, how would you spend it?

Alex: I would donate to NOSA, our soccer club in town, so that they could fix up the referee shack and provide balls and cleats for players who need them.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Alex: I would like to thank my parents, my two brothers, and three sisters for all of the time, money, and effort they have put into all of my time playing soccer. I would also like to thank my coaches, past and present, for all that they have taught me and the ways they have encouraged me and supported me.
