Making Memories with Armanod Montes – Presented by Kaleb Roach Farmers

VYPE: What are your goals for yourself and your team this season?

Armando: Definitely a goal for me and my team is to go back to state. Last year we had a great season and got the opportunity to experience what it was like making it there. Also, another goal for the team is to make our bond stronger to play better as a team.

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

Armando: The most fun I’ve had this year is making new bonds with the freshman that came up from middle school and being a mentor in a way.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade or coach and why?

Armando: Coach JP Shirkey has been one of the best coaches I’ve ever had because he genuinely cares about his plays and considers his players as one of his kids.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

Armando: My favorite athletic memory has got to be going to state the feeling I got watching the game before and hearing the crowd roar was unreal.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Armando: Jackson Heckart has been a big impression on me, on and off the field he has helped me through a lot and he I’ve also thought of him as family as another big brother of mine.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Armando: If I was to go on vacation I would go to Hawaii since I’ve never been, and I would like to take my family with me to enjoy the experience with them.

VYPE: If you had $500 and had to spend it in the next 24 hours, how would you spend it?

Armando: If I had $500 dollars but had to spend in 24 hours, I would buy groceries for the house and fill up on gas.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Armando: I would like to thank my parents for being the best emotional support a kid can have. My brother for introducing me to the sport I now admire. And my sister for being the loudest in the crowd. Love you all!
